• Verified residential address
• Contact details of your Alternate Contact Person (ACP)

How we use your Data:

We use this Data to process your requests for entering into agreements and maintaining your account for our self-storage services and to communicate with you during the period of using our self-storage services. If you provide Data on behalf of another individual such as your ACP, you warrant that the individual has authorised you to provide this Data and has agreed that you can give consent on his/her behalf to the processing of their Data and that we may communicate with the ACP or other appointed individual in the event we are unable to contact you.

Who we share your Data with:

BSL may share Data with, and collect Data from, credit reference or fraud prevention agencies. BSL may also share Data with:
Service providers under contract with us to support our business operations such as management of data and payment processing; our insurers and insurance brokers; any person you have named as a person we can contact to discuss your account and any person who is your agent or representative such as the holder of a power of attorney, a legal guardian or executor.

BSL may also release Data and other account details at any time if it considers in its sole discretion this is appropriate (a) to comply with the law (b) to enforce the Licence Agreement (c) for fraud protection and credit risk reduction (d) for crime prevention or detection purposes (e) to protect the safety of any person at the self- storage facility (f) if BSL considers the security of any storage unit at the facility or its contents may otherwise be put at risk. If BSL sells or buys any business or assets, it may disclose Data and account details to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets or if substantially all of BSL’s assets are acquired by a third party. Data and account details will be one of the transferred assets.

Your Data will not be retained by us if there is no longer any purpose to retain it. In some cases there are legal obligations to retain certain types of Data.

Marketing:

If you have opted to receive marketing information, we may contact you by email, post or telephone to advise you of any promotional offers, discounts, new products or services regarding our self-storage facilities. Your rights:

You have the right to see any Data about yourself and the right to have any Data about yourself corrected or deleted if the processing of Data has no legal basis or if the legal basis has ceased to apply.
